We attended this years Lincolnshire Wing Ding with extra excitement as it was being held a new venue - Graves Park in Kirton, Lincolnshire.

On arrival members of the Lincolnshire Wings Team were there to meet us at incsription and sign us in. We felt most welcome and eagerly rode onto the field to set up our tent which would be our home for the upcoming few days.

Although the Wing Ding was open from the Thursday, due to work commitments we arrived on the Friday morning to find many wingers already set up on the rally field so missed a well planned ride out to Woodhall Spar.

Wingers set up to enjoy the 2019 Lincs Wing Ding.

After setting up our tent we enjoyed a few pints in the social club and met up with friends we'd made at previous rallies and made some new friends.

All set up at Lincs Wing Ding 2019.

On the Saturday morning we woke early to be ready for the planned group rideout to Burghley House but unfortunately the weather was not on our side with heavy rain. We decided not to go but watched a few brave riders ride off into the distance and into the rain.

After a quite, wet morning the rain subsided and we took a little walk into Kirton village which is only 6 minutes walk from the venue.

As evening approached we had a meal at the social club on site and picked our spot in the club ready for Status Quote, a Status Quo tribute band to perform. Elaine enjoyed a few dances and also a few pints of Guinness which always helps her to sleep well on our air matress.

Sunday morning arrived all too soon and we packed up our tent and took the short ride home.

This is the 3rd Lincs Wing Ding we have attended and was the best one yet. The change to a slightly larger venue and live music on the Saturday evening was a great success and we look forward to attending many more Lincolnshire Wing Dings with fellow Goldwing riders.

The Skegness Goldwing Riders would like to thank "Sandy" and his team of helpers for organising this well planned and well run Wing Ding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to attending again next year.
