Ride out to Metheringham airfield.

Date: 31/03/2019.

Venue: Metheringham airfield visitor centre, Westmoor Farm Martin Moor, Lincoln LN4 3BQ

Website: http://www.metheringhamairfield.co.uk/

Today, despite both of us having awful colds we took advantage of the good weather and rode out to Metheringham airfield visitor centre.

The visitor centre contains an abundance of information and displays many artefacts that relate to those flyers, aircrew and ground staff who flew and offered support to the squadron during its presence in Metheringham.

This weekend was free to enter the site however the usual entry price is £3 per person.

The centre is east to find but beware, the final half mile or so is a single track road with many potholes and strewn with loose gravel in places.

One on the site there is plenty of parking space, mainly on grass however there is a little hard standing if available. It would be worth taking a puck for your side stand just in case.
